Details for Holiday Camps:
Our hugely popular holiday camps are suitable for all children aged between 5-13, with both members and non members welcome, all sessions are delivered by fully qualified and DBS- checked Instructors. Holiday Camps are run from our Neath Academy (days will run from 09:00 - 15:00 with the earliest drop off being 08:45. All places are subject to availability and numbers will be limited.
Instructions:
Please arrive no earlier than 08:45 and check in at reception when you arrive. Please inform us on day one of any relevant medical conditions/medications etc. If you have anything of note that we need to know explicitly then please inform a member of staff on arrival as well as in writing. There will also be a communication book available for anything which needs communicating at the start of the day.
Please ensure you pack your child an appropriate lunch each day. This should be in a carrier bag, named and completely disposable (this saves us time and space taken by left lunch boxes!). Any lunches/snacks bought in also need to contain NO NUTS please. We do have children attending with allergies so this is very important.
We have drinks and snacks available to purchase at the Academy, and the children will have one lunch break and two short refreshment breaks each day. They are welcome to bring a small amount to spend on these items if you wish, but we do ask you to manage this sensibly. Our staff will endeavour to ensure that sweets are limited to a sensible level, but kids will be kids and will try (wouldn't we all...!). If they are only given a sensible amount of money, then this helps us to control this more easily.
We ask that children are dressed in their relevant training dobok trousers/club shorts and club T-shirt (Non-Members can wear sports clothing) as well as their martial arts belt.
If your child has sparring equipment this should also be brought in each day.
Electronic devices are welcome for the periods of down time from training, but are the responsibility of the child. If you do not feel they can look after something that is valuable, please do not send it. We do our best to protect everyone from any incidents, but Mains Martial Arts accepts no responsibilities for damages to personal belongings
Lost Property will be displayed in reception daily please check.
We do not pre-empt any increased incidence of accidents and all staff are first aid trained. Any incidents of note will be reported as per our Accidents procedure.
It is a martial arts camp, and so good behaviour is expected. Children will be disciplined as they normally would be whenever an instructor deems it necessary in line with normal martial arts class ethos. This is rare, but if a child is persistently mis-behaving and it is felt that it is detrimental to the group then parents will be informed and in serious cases may be requested to collect their child. No refunds are offered if this is to occur.
